Learning how to be an affiliate marketer? If yes, look no further! This guide will help you out. I’ll outline the process of becoming one.

I’ll also give you timestamps. Consider their expectations on how long your journey will take!

#1 – Setup a Blog/Channel (With Sufficient Content).

You can’t affiliate market without a domain.

That domain needs content. And you need to publish regularly (and get traffic), before affiliate marketing.

The time required for this is anywhere from 6-12 months.

That’s how much time Google takes to index and “properly rank” new content. Till then, keep grinding out those articles!

#2 – Build an Email List.

An email list is necessary. It’s the channel you use to keep traffic engaged.

It’s also where you send out affiliate promotions.

Using email, you maintain a regular client base. And you can send newsletters, updates, and affiliate links!

But Why 12-24 Months?

Building an email list takes time.

You need to entice traffic to sign up. And you do so by providing a “free product.”

That’ll usually be an e-book. Other times, it’ll be an app, a downloadable item, or even a regular newsletter!

Developing a free product (and website content) takes time. But the more committed you are, the faster the process!

#3 – Find an Affiliate Network.

Basically, this is a mediator website.

It connects businesses with affiliate marketers. There, you’ll find products that you can market!

And finding one isn’t difficult. There are affiliate networks all over the place.

Good examples include “ClickBank – Share a Sale – Amazon Associates.”

Scout through available products. Pick the ones you feel are best. Then write reviews/personal experience using them!

#4 – Stay Consistent.

Want to succeed as an affiliate marketer?

Expect to commit for 1 ½ to 2 years. During that period, you build an audience that trusts your content/domain.

From there, you can start making good money.

And this why many people aren’t affiliate marketers.

You need massive persistence to succeed.

So it’s not a “get rich quick” scheme.

However, if you are looking to short curve the amount of effort involved, this will help.

To YOUR Success!
