If you give someone two options, they are much more likely to choose one. For example, if you have a popup on your site that simply asks someone if they want to join the email list, you won’t get nearly as effective of a response if you were to offer two options: “Find Out How to Actually Lose Weight Now” or “Continue Trying Things That Don’t Work.” It seems simple, but it is actually quite effective.

Use Testimonials

If you use testimonials in your list building, people are going to be much more likely to sign up themselves. If you can get someone else to tell them that they will be missing out big time if they don’t sign up for your newsletter, you have just increased the odds that they are going to get on your list.

Use Power Words

If you can use power words within your squeeze page, then the odds of people becoming intrigued enough to join your list goes up. These words are scientifically proven to make people want to join something. They include words like: advanced, download, access, secret, secrets, featured, special offer, one-time offer, limited-time offer and lots more. These words all create interest and will make people want to join.
